A voice that's unheard at times...a person who's mostly offbeat and singular in thoughts and ideas. A dreamer, enthusiast, fighter, optimist and a keen observer...it's difficult to define me in few words. I believe every soul has a story to say. Life's for me is essentially mysterious, beautiful and full of challenges...and I've learned to take life as it comes. Enjoy life and stay positive!

Love Quote: Woman's Love vs. Man's Love
According to the famous French-speaking Swiss author Germaine de Stael, "Love is the history of a woman's life; it is an episode in man's."
Very true! Love means very different for a man and a woman. When a woman truly falls in love, it means a lot to her...she wants it to last for a lifetime and nurtures it in every way she can. A woman's love has depth, dedication, passion, truth and longing...she embraces her love with a completeness that is quite unlikely for a man. Even when a woman is heartbroken, she cannot forget her love and cherishes it forever!
Contrarily, men are quite different. A man can rarely reciprocate his love and devote himself completely like a woman...for him, it is more of a passion, a momentary lust or longing, or merely a physical attraction. Very few men are capable of true love. For them it is more of a temporary "affair", a "fling", or pure lust! Hence it is easy for them to get over relationships and forget all previous connections. For a woman, love means a lifetime...a history! For most men, love is just another episode!

So what's the point??
The point is--very few men understand the real meaning of love or are capable of loving truly. Women outscore men in this respect!
Indrani.. you've a great blog! I like the theme... , design.. they are just superb,,, :)
I read the post and my opinion is that love is a very delicate feelings that strikes the chord of human emotions in varied circumstances... it is felt by different people in different mental frameworks .. very much separate from our own.
so I feel they way people respond to love actually depends lot on many other infinite number factors .. and not only on sex of that individual
Thanks Antara and I agree with you...it's striking the right chord.
It is not true that men cannot feel and understand love in the same way as women. That is not only very sexist, thus reinforcing negative stereotypes of women being weak and overly emotional (rendering them inferior when it comes to serious matters, such as running the world), but an insult to the millions of men who are still deeply in love with their wives and partners.
